- What are the different lease options?
Answer: We provide one-year lease, nine-month lease, and semester lease. Please note that higher priority will be given to one-year lease applicants.
- What is the rent?

- How to apply?
Answer: In order to apply a room at the University Club, you need to do the following:
- Fill in an application form (can be downloaded from the downloads link).
- Turn in $200 security deposit with your application.
- Is it guaranteed that I will be assigned a room once I turn in my application?
Answer: No. The University Club reserve all rights to accept and reject an application.
- If your application is rejected, you will get full refund of the $200 security deposit.
- If you decide to cancel the application, you will not get the refund of the $200 security deposit.
- If your application is accepted, you will get a notice from the University Club Rooms Manager. In order to reserve a room, you must sign the lease and turn in an addition $500 security deposit within two weeks upon receiving the notice. If you fail to do so, the room will be considered for renting and your $200 security deposit will not be refund.
- Can I apply for the semester lease?
Answer: Yes, you can. However, higher priority will be given to one-year lease applicants.
- Can I rent the room without the meal plan?
Answer: No, you cannot. The meal plan is mandatory and it is included in your rent.
- Do you have a parking space for me? How much does it cost?
Answer: Yes, we have parking space available for long-term (one-year, nine-month, and one-semester) residents at $50/mon and $70/mon for non-resident. We DO NOT provide parking for short-term visitors. However, you can find parking space downtown within walking distance from the University Club. If you have questions about the parking spaces, please email uclubmanager@peoplepc.com.
- Can I sublet my room?
Answer: Yes, however, all sublet must be approved by the board of directors. Please speak to the manager.
- Can I share my room with a friend?
Answer: No, you cannot.
- What's the setting of the bathroom? How many people share the bathroom? What about the cleaning?
Answer: Each floor has two or three bathrooms to be shared among the residents (8-9) on that floor. Each bathroom contains a toilet, sink, and private shower. Professional cleaning service staffs clean common areas everyday and the bathrooms every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Are you on-campus? How can I find the University Club?
Answer: Yes, we are. We are one block away from the Hammond Building. It is about a 4-minute walking to Old Main building. Please see our location page.
- Can I come and take a look at the place?
Answer: Yes, you can. Please email us at managers@uclubstatecollege.com to make an appointment.
- I am a short-term visitor, what are my rental choices?
Answer: We have two kinds of room for short-term rental. One room has its own private bathroom and the other one does not. Please refer to the room rental page for detailed rate information.
- How can I apply for a short-term lease?
Answer: For short-term renting, the minimum requirement of stay is one week (6 nights). In order to apply, you need to fill out an application form (can be downloaded from the downloads link) and must pay by credit card (Master/Visa only). The rent is calculated by day (please refer to the room rental page for detailed rate information). Therefore, the total cost depends on the exact dates that you will stay at the University Club. In order to reserve a room, the total expenses for the entire stay must be paid in advance. No security deposit or signed lease is required. Please note that all reservations are final. There will be NO REFUND upon cancellation.
- Is there a membership fee?
Answer: Yes, there is a $45 annual membership fee. It is divided into two equal payments due on January and August of each year. The membership fee does not apply to short-term visitors.
- When my lease terminates, do I get the $700 security deposit back?
Answer: When you move in, the Rooms Manager will verify the condition of the room. If the condition of all items is the same when you checkout, you will get a refund of $665 (we deduct $40 for cleaning of ). Otherwise, you will be charged according to the price of each damaged item and we will refund the rest of the security deposit to you.
- What is the procedure to obtain my security deposit?
Answer: You need to fill in the "Security Deposit Refund Forwarding Address Form" and return it to the Rooms Manager before you leave. It is your responsibility to make sure that the address on the form is correct and the Rooms Manager receive it properly.

- How long does it take to get my security deposit refund?
Answer: If you turn in the forwarding address form properly, you should get the refund within one month. If you fail to provide the correct forwarding address information, the refund process will be delayed.
- Do all the rooms have the same size and setting?
Answer: All rooms have similar furniture settings but the room size may vary slightly. A typical size room is 11' * 13'. Each room has the following: a twin-size bed, a dresser, a desk, a chair, a mirror, a trash bin, and a closet.
- Can I choose a room when I sign my lease?
Answer: In general, no. You will be assigned a room according to the availability. However, we will try our best to accommodate your request.
- How can I pay for the rent?
Answer: Your rent is automatically due on the first of each month with an exception of your first month rent which is due one week prior to residency.
- Do you have Internet access in every room?
Answer: Yes, we have wireless internet service.

- Can I have pets?
Answer: No.
- I need to move in earlier (or later) than the date the lease starts. What can I do?
Answer: Please email us at managers@uclubstatecollege.com regarding the date and room availability. We would be more than happy to accommodate your needs if there is a room available.
- Do you only accept graduate students and faculties?
Answer: No. We prefer the applicant to be a graduate student or a faculty, however, undergraduate students above 21 are also welcome to apply.
- I am an undergraduate student. Is there any special requirement for my application?
Answer: Yes. We require an interview with the undergraduate applicant before we can consider his/her application.
- When and how the meals are provided?
Answer: Breakfast is available to 10:00am. Lunch is available 11:45am - 1:15pm. Dinner is available 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Meals are served in buffet style, however, one person is only entitled one portion of the food.
- Do you have vegetarian food?
Answer: Yes. If you are a vegetarian, you can make a special request for vegetarian food.
- When is my rent due and how do I pay for it?
Answer: Your rent is due automatically on the first or each month with an exception of the first month rent which is due one week prior to residency. You can pay by check, credit card, or cash. All checks should be made payable to "The University Club Inc.". If you want to mail us the check, please use the following mailing address.
